To further our mission for a more diverse faculty at this summer’s Seminar, we are happy to announce that we have added two world class performers and educators to the Summer Seminar faculty.

5th time LHS Summer Seminar faculty guest Valerie Naranjo is known for her pioneering efforts in West African keyboard percussion music. Valerie currently plays percussion for NBC's Saturday Night Live Band, and has recorded and performed with Broadway's The Lion King, The Philip Glass Ensemble, David Byrne, Tori Amos, Airto Moreira, and many others.

Former LHS Summer Seminar student and newly signed Malletech artist Aaron Williams is a virtuosic multi-instrumentalist who has worked with companies like GoPro, Coca Cola, and Google. His performances have been featured on The Tonight Show, the Super Bowl, and the Winter Olympics, and his educational and performance videos have over 300 million views on YouTube.

Scholarship Announcement
The LHS Summer Marimba Seminar has offered half and full tuition scholarships for decades. This year Malletech has partnered with the LHS Seminar to offer two Full Tuition Scholarships to college-aged students identifying as Black or African American. The application is open immediately with winners chosen and notified by April 19th. If you are an educator, please share this with any college-aged students who would be interested in participating.
